your gift

It’s your *Friday Love Note* and your gift –

I have a gift for you today.
It’s some simple good news.

It’s okay for you to forgive.

Sometimes it seems that forgiving someone is giving up something.
Can you relate?

It seems as if forgiveness tells someone that you weren’t hurt or disappointed.
It seems that forgiveness tells someone that you condone what they did, even though you think it was wrong.

Sometimes it even seems that withholding forgiveness is somehow protective… but in reality, withholding forgiveness is one of the hardest things you will do.

It compounds your suffering and keeps you from moving forward.
When you don’t forgive it feels heavy, angry, bitter, stuck.

If you’re having a hard time forgiving, it’s not because you’re a bad person. Not at all.
It’s most likely just because you’re afraid.
You don’t need to be afraid. Forgiving someone is the best give you can give yourself.

You can forgive and still be safe.
You can forgive and still acknowledge that you were hurt.
You can forgive and still disagree with the way someone behaved.
You can forgive, so you can feel light, hopeful, and see the clear path to moving forward.

Are you ready?

Have an amazing weekend – you deserve it <3
